S5 not seeing Material Station

Hello,

 

We have just unboxed our S5 and installed the air handler and material station, neither of which is recognized by the device when fully assembled.  The air handler is not recognized even when it is plugged directly into the printer.

 

The printer came with firmware 5.4.6, and we installed the latest version, 5.4.27.  We have factory reset the machine several times and have plugged / unplugged everything and checked the cables, everything looks good from a physical connectivity standpoint.

 

Any suggestions on troubleshooting this peripheral challenge?

You only used the UMB out ports on both the printer and the Material Station and the UMB in port on the Material Station, right?

Yes, we used the Out on the Printer and In on the material station, and then used the UMB out on the material station up to the air handler.

And the normal spool holder is also not plugged into the NFC connector, right?

Nothing was connected to the NFC Connector.

Maybe it's an issue with the internal wiring to one of the connectors or something like this; most probably an issue where the community cannot help you. Please get in contact with your reseller for coordination of the next steps (if not done already).

Hi @SouthPoleStation, could you provide me with a picture of how you have connected/wired everything together? I guess that would be the easiest and safest way to verify. Thanks!
