Posted · UM S5 / S3 1.75mm ABS Filament usable?

Hi,

maybe I have a dumb Question but I have an CTC Brezer Printer from the old days and I would like to change to an new Ultimaker S3 or maybe S5.

I have 6 sealed spools of 1.75mm ABS Filament and would like to use it with an new Ultimaker.

The technical specifications states 2.85mm is compatible filament diameter ("... to archives optimal results on Ultimaker 3D printers")

Are there sets (feeder, nozzle) to change to 1.75 Filament?

thanks and best regards

Best advice is don't bother trying. It works for some people, but chances of clogging the system, or worse flooding your whole printhead with solidified ABS are significantly greater than zero.
