Hello,

I'm having some trouble printing ASA. Here I'm printing PolyLite TM ASA.
Do you have any tips on how to do that?

I try with different parameters, you can see them on the picture bellow.

With which material you could make a brim or the support?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

ASA is like ABS which could be difficult to adhere to the bed. I have no experience with the Polylite filament but I use ASA and ABS from time to time.

It is important to cover the front of the UM3, to keep the warm air inside and avoid any cold air from outside. You can just put a cardboard to the front which is enough. Additionally use Dimafix or 3DLac to get a good adhesion. Glue stick alone doesn't work for me, but with the Dimafix I have good experiences.

And depending on your object, enable brim to be on the safe side.

Hi, this thread is maybe a little older, but since the 5.3 Cura release I've been using a different technique for ABS/ASA.  This technique is documented in a post I did in the 5.3 release thread. You can read it here. It is also documented in a Reddit post. Currently I'm printing a ASA print with flexible TPU sections that are interlocked and the raft is TPU in this case, too. This also works very well as TPU is very sticky.  Maybe this helps you. This technique requires no special print bed preparation.
