X axis does not go to home position at start of print

I am using Cura as my slicing program.  Every Gcode file evidently has a missing instruction that is supposed to send all axis to the home position.  Y and Z axis works find but the X axis always starts from whatever position it was left at.  Examination of the Gcode shows a G28 instruction and the line:

"G1 X10.1 Y20 Z0.28 F5000.0 ;Move to start position".   Is this correct?

So G28 has many different syntaxes.  Typically:

    G28

By itself homes X,Y,Z axes.  Usually you can specify which axis and even say something about calibration:

    G28 X0 Y0

Above would typically only calibrate X and Y axes.  The "0" does nothing on most firmwares but on some tells the printer something about some offest I think.

But there are many other syntaxes.  So ask around to people who have the same printer as yourself - maybe your printer type has a forum just like Ultimaker does.  Ask there.

After careful investigation, it was determined that the problem was not in the software, but in the hardware.  The limit switch for the X axis needed attention.  After some maintenance, the printer is again functioning normally.

    Thanks for the pointer anyway.
