Hello Ultimaker Forum!

My name is Jerry (aka. Barnacules) and I produce Barnacules Nerdgasm on YouTube. I'm a huge Ultimaker v1 fan and absolutely love the technology and use it almost daily. I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum and also share a print I did yesterday for Thanksgiving with you all! I also have tons of other 3D printing videos on my channel and many more coming in December!

Thanks and Happy Hollidays!

Jerry

    Hey B

Love your videos featuring the Ultimaker :)

Way too much of the Ultimaker stuff found on youtube is either unboxing, assembly time lapses, first prints or people demonstrating some fancy upgrade, speed hacks or whatnot, all way too abstract for the average youtuber that may happen to stumble upon 3d printing with an Ultimaker printer...

You keep it down to earth, and focus on the joy of simply making stuff with your printer, and through that help spread the word to the masses about the joys of 3d printing (34.280 subscribers.. well done!)

Happy holidays and keep up the good work!

Did you know you have fans in Brazil?

And, through your YouTube videos you've inspired me to buy a UM2...

Good to see you at the forum! :)

    Hi Jerry,

I was wondering when you would come to the forums.

You will have a lot of friends here I figure.

Without a doubt you will have a good time, and perhaps we can also inspire you in making new video's!

    Have a great day Jerry!

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
