Website Filament Filter Function

Hi there,

In general I think the site looks and functions great there is however one major bug bear I have and that's when browsing through all of the wonderful materials that the ultimakers can use, there is NO FILTER OPTION. It's quite frustrating when you use the buzzwords in the e.g. impact resistant/uv resistant to find a filament which you think would be perfect for the job only to find out the filament size isn't compatible with your machine.

I feel like I waste some time clicking on the data sheets to find out the compatibility. It would be nice if there was a filter option so I don't get disappointed and then have to spend more time trying to find an alternative.

Thanks,

Kiran

    Hi Kiran,

Thank you for your message and taking your time to share your feedback with us. It's much appreciated!

It sounds like you are using the marketplace right? Have you also looked at the filter on our materials page? That has quite an intuitive filter and perhaps easier to go through. I do believe that the marketplace contains all available profiles, and on ultimaker.com it is a sub-selection of most distinctive filaments.

I believe the filter/search on the marketplace is also still being worked on. Balancing the results of a keyword against a machine compatibility is good feedback. I'll make sure to share this with the team so it's on their radar too. Thanks!

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
