Posted · stl model wont slice on cura

Hi all, have been printing for a while but have never had this problem before.

Bought a stl and need to print it at the size it is, it is for a birthday present.

When i put it in cura it comes up as grey and yellow and comes up with this message. i have a single extruder ender 3, it fits nicely in the size of the build plate and the height for my printer and still it does not want to slice for some reason.

Does anyone have any solutions? I have googled and googled and changed settings over and over

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    @ZachBrooks ... are you using a skirt, brim or raft? Object may fit the buildplate, but you need space for skirt/brim/raft... if not, then try rotating the object or scale it down

    By posting only the error-message we have no clue what you are trying to print or how the object is placed on the buildplate!

    @obewan, I wouldn't post a project-file of a bought STL-file... 🤪

    hi all, thanks for suggesting things to help,

    i couldnt attach the file as it was a bought/pay for file and so couldnt really share as that would defeat the point of it.

    it would seem that there was a tiny part of some kind of editing way above where the model actually finished that had been left, simply editing that out in prusa helped. (had to download a second slicer in order to make sure for my own sanity.)
