Speed Settings

Hello all,

 

I am having an issue with Cura 4.7, where no matter what speed settings I enter, my projects are sliced to print at 100 mm/s. Has anyone encountered this issue?

what printer & firmware are you using?

My first bet is that your firmware has a max X and Y feed rate setting

 

M203 X100 Y100 is what you will likely find

I'm using a Creality CR6-SE, as well as a modified Ender 3 Pro. I am attempting to print in PETG, so my issue currently is that 100 mm/s is too fast.

OK, I assumed you were trying to push it over 100mm/s.....

How do you know its staying at 100?

I would try another slicer, if you have the same results in another slicer, then it is your firmware

If the other slicer slows it down, then the problem is in the gcode that Cura is producing

I have been using Cura with Octoprint. I sliced the stl to an SD card and printed directly from that and was able to verify that it had been sliced at 100 mm/s. I have used Prusa slicer, and did not have that issue, which leads me to believe that it is an issue with my Cura settings, though I haven't been able to find anything that would cause that.

Did you sort anything out for the speed settings not making it to the Cr-6 SE? I'm having precisely the same issue and must change speeds manually on the printer.
