Thanks for your reply. I am using orange or black PLA. I am going to have to ask for patience as I didn't set up the machine and have only just started using it so I'm a complete novice with 3D prints, where/how do I found out which print core I use.
When you open the front door of the print head you see if there is a AA 0.4 or BB 0.4 and so on loaded.
I guess that you maybe try to print PLA with the BB core which is reserved for PVA material only.
You are correct extruder 2 is BB 0.4 🙂 but if I am only setting up to use extruder 1 which is AA 0.4.
But extruder 2 has a configuration (print core type and/or selected material) which is not compatible with the engineering profile. So when you want to print just with extruder 1 best practice is to disable the extruder 2. You can do this in Cura via the menu or on the right side on the top of the side bar. There you have 2 tabs for each extruder and a checkbox to enable/disable the print core.
Thats great thanks for your help.

Can you tell us a bit more about your setup, which print cores do you use and which material.
