Adding random offsets to prints?

Posted · Adding random offsets to prints?

I recently learned that Cura support {variables}, but would like to introduce some randomness to printing.

I have a wipe line whose X offset I would like to vary a little each print, If I set X to 20mm, then allow varying up to 10mm, I can make sure they never overlap

Similarly, I would like to vary the starting "center" location, by having Cura choose some random offset that would help land the print still fully in the print volume of the printer, but reduce the wear on the bed's center location.

Is there a way to do this?
