Which is probably the easier solution because you don't have to do something extra.
So when you are signed in it should happen automatically.

Thank you! I was doing it while signed in, and it wasn't updating it online. But doing it through the web site seems to have worked.
Edited by GoremanX@Smithy Sadly it appears to still be an issue as of Cura 12.0.1. Removed from within cura marketplace and they didn't remove from my account. It would be exceptionally helpful to filter the online marketplace by "Added to Cura" as I now need to look through a mass of things to try and remember what I'd installed.
Does it help when you try to click on "Check for account updates" in the upper right corner of Cura (your picture/avatar)?
No. I suspect there is some oddity with my account as Cura regularly signs me out (and has across several versions).
What helped was clicking sync (I resigned myself to it potentially messing up my custom edits to my config folder) and thankfully discovered that there was a pop up showing what it would change. Then I removed them online.
Interesting side note the local Cura GUI did NOT handle that well: what was displayed in the pop up changed as I removed/added things online, but placed various GUI elements on top of one another and generally looked like a hot mess!
I still can't seem to get it to sync a new custom Generic PLA based material with my printer using the Digital Factory or local network, so I may need to resort to the developer API.
hmm, maybe there is really a problem with your online account.
I cannot check it, but maybe @ctbeke can take a look on it.
@Smithy thanks for tagging me, but unfortunately I no longer work at Ultimaker (no worries, it was my own decision), so I cannot help @spacecolonyone out. Probably someone else from the cloud team like @xli can help though!
@ctbeke Oh sorry, I was not aware of that. All the best and good luck whatever you will do now.

No worries, there's no way you could have known 😉

Thanks! I'll continue working on cloud technology at different companies based in The Netherlands.
Hi @spacecolonyone, thank you for reporting the issue.
Regarding the improvement in Cura for (un)linking the material package, I'll bring it to the Cura team. (cc @fvrmr)
Spoiler: Syncing materials to printers via Cloud will be available soon! Stay tuned 😉

Try to login here
https://marketplace.ultimaker.com/app/cura/materials
And remove the extensions you no longer want to use. This should work.

@smithy's suggestion will work. Alternatively, plugins and materials will also be automatically un-linked from your Ultimaker account if you remove them from the 'installed' section of the Cura Marketplace while signed in.
