Infill mesh has walls and won’t line up

Hey there! So I am attempting to print a large object quickly, and to do so I’m cranking up the speed. But, on the front of it there is a higher amount of detail that I want to decrease the speed for to make sure it doesn’t mess up. So, I tried using an infill mesh only box to just change the speed of the prints to what I want, but, when I do so, it will make walls inside the print. So, to counter this, I changed the wall count to 0, which stopped adding extra walls but now the infill inside doesn’t line up at all. Do you know how to fix this where I can just change the speed and not the structure? Thanks!

Grid infill would be easier but triangles will do.  The first thing is to square them up to the world.  In Cura, under Infill make the Infill Line Directions [60,120].

Then move the support mesh to an exact multiple of the Infill Line Distance in the X direction, and and exact multiple of (sqrt of 3 * Infill Line Distance) in the Y direction.

    That should get you close.

Here is my take on what you currently have:

And here are the same two pieces with the infill squared up, the infill line distance is 6, and the block placed at X = 0 and Y = (2 x 6 x SQRT 3) = 20.785.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
