Cura 4.8 Can't create or duplicate material profile - Nothing happens

I go to Material Manager. If I hit Duplicate (while highlighting Generic PLA) or Create, nothing appears to happen. If I close the manager and reopen, I find there is a new Generic PLA profile created but I can not edit anything other than filament costp and filament weight fields. The other fields remain grayed out. I'm not an expert at Cura so feel free to talk to me in the most simplest forms if you have suggestions of what to try. I haven't used Cura in awhile and just recently upgraded - so not sure if this is some kind of user error or new version issue.
