The article you link to came from this part of the Ultimaker website, there you also find a document named 'End of Life Policy'. When I read that document, then there will be 3 more years of support and spare parts for 3 years after the date the product is announced as 'End of offering'.
For the UMO+, UM2+ and UM3 this announcement has not been made yet so you can expect minimal 3 more years of support.
When that announcement will be made isn't clear. Given that those printers have a successor model released you might expect it soonish, but I've also seen Ultimaker to continue production of a model for as long as customers were buying them.
I actually reed this end of life policy but did somehow not understand it or reed it with enough attention... Sorry, I feel a little bit bad now for beeing asking something that was right under my nose... 😕

We don't often release an alpha version of Ultimaker Cura... So what's different this time? This Alpha contains such a huge slicing engine overhaul that we really need your help!
We wish to celebrate and honor the innovators that push forward the field, technology and world. We opted to not present it as a competition or ranked list. Every innovator has earned his spot on that list in their own way. We also look at the 3D printing industry as a whole and not limit the list to those only using Ultimaker.
