Depending your work environment temp and humanity levels can affect the figment. If it gets too soft sometimes the feeder can not grip it enough. To test the proper way, remove the figment and just check if you have lots of wear at the point just after you feed the figment into the UM. What happens is the figment gets too soft and the feeder can not grip it and it just wears it out at that point. The printer thinks its still feeding through.
To fix this in future you can remove about 3 cm at the end of the current figment, that would make the part that was worn a little past the point of part of the UM that feeds it. Then adjust the tension for it to feed better. Depending on your environment you might have to make it less hard or more easy for it to proper grip. I am talking at the back where you feed the figment into the UM there should be a bolt to adjust and a level meter to see. depending on you UM. I have S2 and S5 and they both have this.
