How to back up your printing profiles and will updating to 4.8 delete the existing profiles?

Hello Forum,   I would like to update my 3D printer which came with 4.7 Cura to 4.8. 

Before I do that I would like to back up my profiles for printing that I have created

and know work. How do you do that? Will updating my copy of Cura to 4.8 erase

my existing profiles?

Updating your copy of cura will not remove your old files, unless you tell the installer to do so.

 

But the generic advice holds: Please backup your files if they are important to you. Cura actually has a built in (cloud) backup system. You can find it under "extensions"
