Posted · Gaps in top layer. Can't find the real source.

Hello,

I hope you can help me. Regardless of which filament I use (3dJack PLA, Sunlu PLA / PLA+, AmazonBasics PLA) I have small gaps in the top layer.

  1. extruder steps are calibrated

  2. extrusion multiplier is measured and is 90%.

  3. extruder is a BMG direct drive extruder (https://ali.onl/1O4O) on Hiwin linear rail

What have I tried so far without success?

  1. raised the extrusion multiplier to 93% and 96

  2. extrusion multiplier top layer 100%

  3. fan speed of 40% and 60%.

  4. line width of 0.4 and 0.44

 

  • Printer & Slicer: Geetech A10 TrinagleLab Direct Drive Extruder (BMG+V6) on Hiwin Liniar Rail with 0.4mm Nozzle

  • Filament Material and Brand: 3djack PLA, Sunlu PLA, Sunlu PLA+, AmazonBasics PLA

  • Nozzle and Bed Temperature: 210°C / 35°C

  • Print Speed: 60mm/s / 30mm/s (top layer)

  • Nozzle Retraction Settings: 1mm, 40mm/s
