Posted · Ultimaker 2 Go initial setup failing

Does anyone know how to resolve an issue where the Ultimaker doesn't align over the corners correctly during initial calibration? It is miles away, but appears to have homed correctly.

The 'straight out of the box' set up. The machine seems to home ok but then doesn't position over the build plate and when moving from left corner to right corner only moves a centimeter. It is like the scale is all screwed up. It has been sat in a box in a storage cupboard for a couple of years!!

Hi @paulsnorman thank you for your message. Based on your description I would say that it sounds like some of the pulleys are not as tight as they should be. I would advise to check them all and really tighten them. Especially the one responsible for the direction in which it doesn't run as far as it should.
