Good day all,

I am very new to this, first time making files. I am using upgraded Cookie Cad to make files  ( My friend does the printing for me, using a Creality CR 10 S Pro, so it is a non network printer as I do not have the printer near me, I have to send the completed files to him on email, someone else made the files before but they are now closed so I need to do it and learn ). I download the files from Cookie Cad.

I open Ultimaker Cura, select open file, select the stl file / It loads and once it is loaded I then select SLICE. Once that is completed I then go to select Save as File (the tutorial says so) I DO NOT have "Save as File" instead I have " Save to Disk" in the bottom right. In the top left under Files i have "export". I have tried both of these ways

The save as 3MF fies which cannot be printed and they do not read on the printer. It says " Ignored File"

I assume they must save as gcode?

I need thse cutters on Thursday, and I cannot get them to prin at all. Please let me know what to do thank you all.

Have you tried clicking the save to disk in the right corner? That should pop up a file dialogue and allow you to select Gcode.

It does not give me the option. I CLICK save to disk and it just saves  to docUments so I then press the litle arrow under File name by the file type or whatever the option is in the documents window that pops up on the left  and it only has 3MF it so I tried printing it anyway but I got the same result " Ignored Filw'

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
