@gv71, this bug is fixed in Cura 4.13. You could try the beta, which was released this monday:

Recently whenever I slice files on any version of cura (I have tried previous versions) any straight lines are instantly completed. I looked at the acceleration and jerk controls and even tried turning them both down to 1 mm/s and print speed down low as well. That didn't fix it and I loaded up an old gcode file that I sliced before I had this issue and when I looked at the preview it somehow changed those straight lines to be instantaneous as well. Any ideas?

The preview in Cura does not simulate the time it takes to move. All line segments take the exact same time, so long moves may seem instantaneous to you. This has always been the case, ever since the "simulation view" has been introduced in Cura 2.5.

I had never noticed that before now but my printer is working correctly now. Thank you!
