Posted · Ultimaker S3 making a snap pop in the Y axis

Hello

In the video, all axes are moving at the same time. It's hard to tell what's going on.

You can also move the print head manually (without printing). This way it is easier to get to the bottom of the problem.

Sometimes.

.. the block in the front is unhooked.

.. a belt wheel turns loose on the shaft.

Many greetings

SOLVED!  I was able to track the popping noise to the short belt connected to the Y axis motor, I could feel a little vibration in the belt when it popped.  I loosened up the 4 screws that hold the motor in place and re-tightened them and it fixed the problem.  Might have just been slightly loose??  the screws didnt feel loose....

The screw may have jammed a bit in the hole when it was screwed in. The printers are assembled by people. Theoretically, there are also errors that a test print does not reveal.

Therefore, good that you have found out!
