Can’t find ‘Stop printing at Height’ Feature

I am unable to find stop/end printing at height feature, but I can  only find pause at height feature. Stop printing at certain height Feature is available in Simplify 3D but not in Cura. It would be helpful if you let us know that if this feature is / not available in Cura. If available, also help us by explaining how to use it.

Note: I have tried using pause at height feature by adding end G codes at that height condition, but it is pausing just for about 10 sec and starting next layer of print. Is there any solution for this?

"Pause at height" - should not continue after 10 seconds.  It should stop and sit there and the printer should ask for input from the user.  At that point most users can cancel the printer.  However every printer is different.

Also your hack of adding the "end gcode" should work but you should delete everything from there to the end of the gcode file.

    Maybe.

What printer are you using?  Creality printers (and some of their clones like Anet's) have known issues with "Pause at Height".

After the pause gcode line (M0, M25, etc.) there is an M109 line and it is that M109 line that may be causing the "pause" behavior as it typically causes a 10 second delay while checking that the temperature is up to the set point.

There are a couple of workarounds that may fix this behavior.  Let us know what printer.

Since it's a custom job, what firmware are you running on it?

Have you tried both the M25 and M0 pause commands?

Here is a LINK to another discussion.  We got that Ender to pause correctly and the fix is described in that post.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
