Posted · Is there a setting to return the nozzle back to home immediately after a print is completed?

I have been running into a problem of the nozzle remaining on the print once it has completed the print. Leaving a big ol' blob of PLA on my print. I presume there is some nifty trick or GCode that will command the nozzle to return home after the print, if I am not around to do it manually!

Hope someone knows the trick! Thanks again (in advance) to anyone that takes the time to help me out!

    Hey @Collodi_Knives,

There are three solutions that jump to mind when I read your problem.

    1. There is a settings called Lift Head that moves the nozzle away from the printjob if the layers are small and pointy. Is this hapening on a specific type of printjob or different types.

    2. The first firmware on the Ultimaker S5s would leave a blob, by leaving the nozzle on the print by accident. But That should be easily resolved with just updating your firmware.
    3. You can add a Pause at Height script if you know what your second to last layer is. But this seems like a band-aid rather than a solution to your problem.

If this doesn't help, we'll need a little bit more information on your printer, type of firmware, Cura version and any modifications.

    Let's hope this works! 🤞
