Posted · Cura 5.1 pause at layer height issue

Before 5.0(5.1) when I would use the post processing and include a Pause at layer height, I would change out filament and hit resume.  Once it hit temp it would extrude a little bit of filament before it would move back over the print to start again.

Now with 5.1 it moves over the print and extrudes it right on the print leaving a big blob and almost ruins the print cause the nozzle hits it when it comes back around to that spot.

Any one know why it does this now ?  Is there something new that needs to be checked to fix this

I guess not to many people probably use the feature of pausing at a layer height to change out filament.  But if any one has come up with a solution for it to do the extrude before it moves over the print please share.

    Hi!

I had to set "Retraction" to 0 which fixed the issue for me.

I suspect that somehow the retraction setting is used as "Extrude Amount" as well when you start printing again.

Please let me know if that fixed your problem.
