Hi Mari,
I suggested a fix in another thread. But you might want to post this as a quick fix for anyone installing the Cura AppImage on ChromeOS. Simply installing a file manager lets Cura access the local filesystem.
Perhaps packaging a simple QT file manager with the AppImage would be a better fix...

I'm personally not a linux user so I don't know which of the comments in the thread are helpful.
Just know that we've added a ticket to the backlog with the intent to improve this.

It's a bit hard for us to test, but we have a nightly build available.
