Impossible to do bed leveling after factory reset

Posted · Impossible to do bed leveling after factory reset

Hi all,

I have quite a strange error with my Ultimaker 2+. It was working properly for some years, but suddenly the USB Port did not work anymore, but printing over SD Card was working without an issue. But as I normally print over USB I wanted to fix the issue.

So I decided to make a factory reset and check the electrical board. Beside the USB plug I can see that a resistor is destroyed, for me looks like the reason USB not working. Now after factory reset the first step is to level the board.

- The bed moves to the bottom and hits the z switch.

- Then it moves up, I have the feeling that it doesn't move up that much as normal. So I have to cycle the knob quite a few times. Imo much more thatn normal.

- Then I can do the leveling as normal

- After leveling is finsihed the bed moves down, but it stops arround 5cm before hitting the z-switch telling me that there is an error with the z--switch.

As I'm completely stuck in the initial setup, I also do not have any possibilities anymore to enter the advanced menu of the printer. I also checked the power supply with a multimeter and it delivers 24V. I hope anyone here has any advise what I could try.

kind regards

Roger
