Not sure if this helps, but I'm 90% sure whatever version of Python you have installed doesn't matter - it includes its own interpreter (or at least it does for post-processing scripts written in Python, spent over an hour trying to figure out why the hell my f-strings weren't working).
Python segmentation faults are usually an extension written in another language trying to reach memory out of bounds or hitting a recursion limit... but that still doesn't help you.
