Prints not coming out correct size (slightly smaller)

I have been printing for about a year (Ender 3 V2 with Professional firmware) and recently tried doing some pieces that need to be correct size,( a tool holder and Lego mini figures). allmy previous prints were fine but were not size specific. The print goes without a hitch but  when I put them into use, they seem to be a little smaller than needed.🤔 The tool holder is too small for the tool to insert and the lego piece does not fit standard bricks. I have not messed with the original file , just download and slice. What should I check and what can I do? Thanks in advance.

Are they smaller in all dimensions or just one (or two, I suppose)?

It would help if you could upload a Cura project file (.3mf, just get it ready to print in Cura then go to File > Save Project) in case there's any settings which could be affecting it.

It could also be a hardware problem though - make sure all your belts are at the proper tension and the wheels on the Z axis gantry are the correct tightness.

Im using the "super quality profile without any changes. They just seem to be at like 98% or so of the needed dimensions.

This is the first time I have needed a correct size for anything. All of my previous prints were stand alone figures or stuff that did not need a specific size. It could have been doing this the whole time and I never noticed. Here is 1 of the files I am having trouble with. The height seems ok but the width and thickness seem off. The tool wont fit in the opening.

I am using cura for slicing and the Professional software for the ender 3 v2. I just measured a cube i did recently and

    X 19.85 , Y 19.75 , Z 19.72.

an older cube I have is 19.96 in all directions. How do I make the adjustments and how much?

I am not very good at understanding the coding aspect of this yet.

    Thank you for the replies.

No code needed! The problem is the printer (or a very slim chance an inbetween like OctoPrint if you're using one). Or maybe the filament. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some that condense when they cool down somewhere.

If the gcode says to make a 20x20x20 cube and it doesn't come out that big, it's not the program's fault.

For how to help with your situation: Give your printer a quick once over. Make sure both the belts are at the correct tension. Check to make sure your Z axis screw isn't too tight. If those all seem good you might have to calibrate the steps/mm for your motors.
