Yep same question, but for the UM1

how the heck do I set the temperature now in the forced proterface screen ?

I like to set temperatures by hand, before printing, so I can exchange my filament if needed, now....nothing ?

please explain why I have to use Pronterface menu instead of the Cura menu ?

it says in Cura if you set temp to 0, you can pre-heat manually, so...where is this pre-heat knob ?

Maybe this is a good time to get yourself an Ulticontroller if you don't have any yet?

Sure, I'd love to spend €96,- to use Cura 14.03

and how do I control my UM remotely, like I do now with my Mac Mini ?

spend another €100,- for a Raspberry Pie ?

    perfect :(

Protip; Calling names, making multiple forum topics and profound use of sarcasm will not help to encourage either me or Daid to spend more time on the usb window ;)

Understand the frustration of working your ass off for 2 months on a software release putting in the most requested features, fixing every single bug that people can find, trying to make a super stable release. And then the first thing you see is "Fuck you"

    Hi Xeno,

I think what Nallath and Daid are trying to say is, thank you for your feedback

They have put a lot of work and effort in this new release and are very proud of it.

Of course, just as always, we welcome feedback and look into your suggestions and the

    possible added value of it.

I must add, the UltiController is not a bad idea.

Obviously not just so you can use Cura 14.03 but also because through the SD card

you have a much more stable data transfer, you can move your Ultimaker around and use your computer for other purposes. From my perspective it adds a lot of user-friendliness to the workflow of working with an Ultimaker.

Of course.. it is totally up to you :)

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
