Posted · Ultimaker 3E marlin not starting after static shock

Hello Ultimaker Community,

Recently I was putting in a print core into one of my Ultimaker 3 extended's and got a static shock from it. The room that I have them in has had a lot of static recently from the dry air of the winter. There was an error message on the screen about some communication issue.
The printer no longer boots all the way, but remains on the Ultimaker screen.

The logs from the logs HTML page constantly repeats the following:

ultimakersystem-ccbdd30011e8 PrinterService[905]: 2024-01-25 20:25:22,331 INFO transportLayer Marlin started

It seems to me that Marlin is failing to start.

I have tried plugging in a monitor to the HDMI port on the board at the bottom of the printer, and it just outputs some garbled text?. (see attached image)

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Owen
