Ironing layer settings

Hi, for the print settings i have and the varied models i print for fixturing, they may or may not have a nice flat top on them this means that when the top layer is of a small area the ironing setting will smudge fine details. can there be a option that allows the user to state a minimum ironing area rather than just on or off?

I've found that ironing works fine even on small areas. There's no way to turn it off manually but you can create a support blocker, turn it into a cutting mesh and turn off ironing for that bit:

(I'm not sure if the forum will crush the image above so hard you can't see the difference so here's a close up)

I posted a slightly more comprehensive tutorial about how to make a support blocker and turn it into a cutting mesh here.
