Hello,

In our School i created a silent installation for Ultimaker Cura 5.7.1. With this installation it first removes all the olders versions. Some computers still had a version 4.x.x or even 3.x.x.

With the new installation the first startup it asks to sign in. Then after signing in, instead of recognizing the printers the user already has, it asks to add a new printer (locally or Online).

But in the Ultimaker Cura account they already have the printers. So no new printer has to be added.

After searching in Microsoft Windows i found out that when deleting some files in the localappdata and roamingappdata , the printers do show up after signing in.

But this way is causing me way to much time to fix it for every user. Im hoping someone can help me pinpoint the cause of this issue so when installing new versions of Cura , the inital first setup goes without problems.

Thanks in advance!

Cura stores its configuration files in %APPDATA%\cura - which expands to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\cura. But if deleting those files solves your problem then it's easy enough to write a batch script (or include a part in one you already have) to delete that folder (just use the %APPDATA% environment variable so it doesn't matter what the current username is).
