Posted · 2.85 mm filament becoming obsolete?

I'm really worried about this. I'm not finding as many color varieties of 2.85 mm filament on Amazon and eBay as much as I used to. My brother who has a 1.75mm printer, claims that our filament size we use for Ultimaker is becoming obsolete. Please say it ain't so! Where can we find inexpensive 2.85mm filament with lots of material and color options?

You need to shop elsewhere - I never buy stuff there.  I go direct to sites like fbcr8 , Matterhackers, Polymaker and others.  2.85mm is still used by more than just Ultimaker machines.  Your brother is a bit mis-informed.
