Posted · UltiMaker Cura 5.7.2 Slow/Not slicing

Small parts slice fine, when I multiply the part over 5 slicing stops.

Did a search, only solution was to try running as admin.  That didn't work.

Is there any solution for this issue?

What version do I need to go back to run to avoid this?

OK, when I was converting to STL the file was 170 mb.  5 or 6 of those was killing Cura.  Dialed down the resolution and I got a 1 mb file.

Cura can handle 20 of those.

Cura can handle large files, if you're patient. I created a sphere with a bajillion faces that was 200Mb. Took about five minutes to actually load into Cura. Took... somewhat longer than that for it to actually slice (me playing games while I was waiting probably didn't help).

It wasn't just to prove a point though. I was seeing if such a perfect sphere would help on my feverish dream of creating bouncy balls out of TPU. It did not.
