I have an Acer aspire VX15 notebook with Windows 10, version 22H2.
I can't open the current version 5.7.2.
I can only open version 4.8

Even if it "doesn't open", it should enter stuff in the log file.  For windows it is here:

    %APPDATA%\cura\<Cura version>\cura.log

Maybe delete that file, do a single launch attempt of cura, and then post that log file here.

The cura.log file does not exist in any of the following folders:
    C:\Users\edson\AppData\Local\cura\5.7\

    C:\Users\edson\AppData\Local\cura\5.7\cache\definitions\4.0.0

    C:\Users\edson\AppData\Local\cura\5.7\cache\

    C:\Users\edson\AppData\Local\cura\5.7\cache\definitions\

    C:\Users\edson\AppData\Local\cura\5.7\cache\definitions\4.0.0

That looks like you built 4.8 yourself - did you build 5.7.2 yourself or just use the installer download?

(And if you built it yourself... have you tried just using the installer download?)

I used version 4.8 from the Elegoo website as it comes with the Neptune 4 pro printer.

Version 5.7.2 I used the website:

Elegoo Cura uses the same configuration folder as regular Cura but the configurations files are not compatible with one another.

Your best bet is to rename the %APPDATA%\cura folder to something else (just like cura.old or something will work) and run regular Cura which will generate a new configuration folder. You can copy any quality profiles or whatever you need from the old folder if you need them (and if you copy something over and it doesn't work... you'll probably have to recreate it).
