Posted · PET CF not recognized in S5 material station

Material Station is not recognizing PET CF, it comes up "Unknown".  I've tried to load it into different bins, moved it closer to the left to recognize the tag.  I've used the "Sync with Printers" option in Cura to sync the PET CF material using both the USB and Digital Factory.  I can't manually override the PET CF on the printer because Cura says "This cannot be overridden" and won't let the print job run.  Any other suggestions?

What version of the firmware is on your printer? If it's an older version, it may not know about the PETCF. It's a fairly recent material.

    8.3.1 (Latest), Cura is 5.7.0.

If the NFC tag isn't reading, click on the yellow Uknown icon and you can select the material from the menu.

As you stated, you can select the material from the menu, which I did, allowing you to change it, and I did.  Problem is, if you do this, it's considered an "override". Cura has a "safety check" that then prevents you from printing your override.
