no cura shortcut

When I downloaded cura and created an account, I never got any kind of shortcut. I went to thingiverse and did get into cura that way with several good 3d prints. Now I upgraded to the 6 higher account and all I get when I try to get into cura is Initializing package manager. The whole reason I upgraded was becuase they told me I had gone over saved prints. Now I can't even open cura . Any ideas?

    I'm not sure I understand the problem exactly - do you need to launch Cura and not have a shortcut on your computer? If you're in Windows, when you install it, it should create a start menu entry. You can also go to C:\Program Files\UltiMaker Cura <version>\UltiMaker-Cura.exe and create a shortcut to that.

     

    Or is the problem you're having somewhere on the Thingiverse website?
