Posted · Using different coils for different object in the same print.

Hi

The Ultimaker S7 have two coils, is it possible to tell Cura that a specific object should be using the second coil?

I want to make inlaid letters with one colour and the component with the other colour.

I would like add to Cura two objects, one (the model) that use coil one and the second one use coil 2 (letters)

and they will be printed in the same run so the letters are inlaid.

    Hi @Steffan2,

assuming the "coils" you mentioned are the two extruders / nozzles of the print head, the procedure you described is exactly how 2 color printing is done in Cura. So yes, it IS possible.

The attached Cura print guide was made for an ancient version of Cura (if I remember correctly somewhat about version 2), but the main steps are still the same, the selection of the related nozzle might be easier in the current version.

    Regards
