print ripped off

Hi All,

I have been using Ultimaker 3D S5 for last 3 years, today I did get to see a new issue during the print. the PLA blue and PVA natural were ripped off by the print head.

any thought why this would happen and how to fix it. firware 8.3.1. @SandervG, @Smithy, @Travis7s, @gr5

Your back left bed clip is sticking up; it's possible for the print head to catch on that while it's moving (hard to tell if the back right one is also sticking up).

It could just be an adhesion issue; has the bed been cleaned recently? What sort of adhesive do you use?

It looks like the bottom of the print stuck to the bed properly?

I'm guessing there was an underextruded layer and the part was very weak for at least one layer such that later when the print head hit the part it broke off at that layer.

For me personally, the most common cause of a layer that is suddenly underextruded is a filament tangle but there are other possible causes such as a print head front fan (not side fans) that stops spinning.  And a dozen other possible causes.
