Comgrow T500

Hey!

I need a little help with my cura 😄 

Recently got a new pc and now i cant add my Comgrow T500 to Cura... Any idea?

What's the problem, exactly?

If it doesn't appear in the list when adding a new printer, then Cura doesn't come with a definition file for it. UltiMaker is not responsible for adding third-party printers to Cura, they must be provided by either than manufacturer or the community.  If there's a similar model to yours, that often works.

 

Some manufacturers post instructions on their website for how to create a profile in Cura for their printer, so you might want to check that.

 

If that's not the problem, then... please elaborate what is 🙂

My only problem is, that i used Cura on my old pc with the Comgrow, but now I cant add it on my new pc. 

So im just curious, if there is any solution for it, or i need another slicer?

If you still have the old computer - or the old hard drive, just copy the Cura configuration directory - in Windows it's %APPDATA%\cura\ (which equals C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\cura\) onto a thumb drive or something then on your new computer, delete the Cura configuration directory it already created and copy the old one in.

I just found the old flash drive what they give you in the box with the printer.

It contains the Cura setup for the T500 so technically my problem is solved! (after 3 days of struggling)
