I'm very confused about this. The following article dated Jul 30, 2024., under Infill pattern -> Tip provides a link to the plugin on the Marketplace, but the link isn't working:

https://support.ultimaker.com/s/article/1667411002588

The plugin is available on GitHub with the instructions how to build it from source:

https://github.com/Ultimaker/CuraEngine_plugin_infill_generate?tab=readme-ov-file

However, it requires a fair amount of time to go through the documentation and get it to work. I don't want to attempt this because I know how these things go and how much time I'd lose to get it to work.

So yes, it obviously isn't available on the Marketplace. And I didn't come across any notice why it was removed and will it be available again.

IMPORTANT EDIT:

Go to plugin's GitHub page:

https://github.com/Ultimaker/CuraEngine_plugin_infill_generate

Click on the Releases on the right hand side of the page. At the time of writing this, only the "CuraEngineTiledInfill 0.2.0-beta.2" pre-release is available.  Find "Assets" on the bottom of the release's page and click it to display the files listed under it. Download *.curapackage plugin file. Drag and drop it in the Cura dekstop application user interface. It should display a notification that the plugin will be installed upon the next start of Cura.

It is a bit concerning that this plugin appears to be stuck at this pre-release. Most of the GitHub folders were last updated 7+ months ago. It doesn't appear to be in active development and it's questionable why the beta was removed from the marketplace.

You don't have to compile the plugin from source. You can download a ".curapackage" file here:

    https://github.com/Ultimaker/CuraEngine_plugin_infill_generate/releases/tag/0.2.0-beta.2

Drop this file onto the buildplate in Cura, as if you were opening a 3d model.

Well, if it works, there's no need to fix things. And lets be honest, it is not a high priority feature.

Yes, I figured that out and wrote the procedure in the "IMPORTANT EDIT" part of the post.

Then you publish a release and don't call it beta anymore.

    Heyhey,

I'm just jumping in, to let you know we took it down temporarily because we were getting bug reports like these: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/19501.

For some people, the plugin would result in them being unable to slice at all.

One of our developers is troubleshooting it as we speak and it seems to be related to the way that the plug-in is build.

Let's hope we can release a version with a fix soon 🤞

Works fine on my Windows 11 machine with Cura v. 5.8. Users experiencing this issue might try installing on a different machine if they have one.

I had "slicing failed" error unrelated to this plugin on one Linux Mint 21 machine with Cura v. 5.6 appimage - couldn't slice anything. On the other machine with the same OS and appimage, everything worked fine. Cura v. 5.4 worked fine on both machines. Anyway, trying the plugin on a different machine might help until the issue is resolved.
