Posted · Cura File Size Limit?

I've been running Cura 5.8.0 but tried on older versions and having same issue.

I have a project where I've added several small objects (15-20).  I save the project (saves fine with no errors).  I slice the project and no errors.  But when I close Cura and open again and try and load the saved project it spins then comes up blank.

I rebuilt the project with all the models and saved to different file names.  Seems once I get around 205MB that I cannot open it again.  Happens around the last 5 models added.

I tried removing 5 other models from the project and saving it and I am able to reload with no issues.  As long as the file size is <205MB.  So it isn't one particular model that is messing it up.

I also confirmed by using the Creality Print 5.1 software that when I try to open those 3mf files they come up as blank but the smaller ones open up just fine.  So it seems that something is happening during the save process.

I can even reproduce by loading a single model and duplicating it to 12 total models and will have the same problem if the file size is >205MB.

Just wondered if anyone else has seen this?

Maybe not related to file size but something else but I'm not seeing it.

Thanks!

-Tim
