PVA support structure versus "normal" structure problem

First time poster, please be gentle.

I have a problem with PVA where when I print with PVA any regularly designed by me support structure prints just fine but whenever I have Cura do the support structures it turns into a s***show with things not sticking to each other, spaghettifying, all the good stuff. Any support structure turns into a giant mess and doesn't do its job of supporting.

Now I'm gonna make the safe assumption that it is a difference in the print settings between "regular" printing and the settings it uses when printing Cura designed support structures but for the life of me, I can't seem to figure out what exactly the difference is and why.

On a side note, I do tend to try and keep my PVA nice and dry in a separate sealed container with desiccant that actually feeds directly into my s3 via a piece of tubing so exposure to the outside world is minimal.

I wasn't looking for direct support, just looking for somebody with perhaps a similar problem and perhaps different settings that might fix it.

    Hi,

I have good results with PVA-Supports using the automated support generation by Cura, standard support (NO tree support), selecting gyriod as support infill (optimal for later water solution).

If the BB Core is free and clean and the PVA in proper condition, there should be no problems while printing.

    Regards
