Posted · Can’t figure out PVA issues on S5

I’ve been trying to fix PVW issues on my S5 for a long time and am running out of ideas.

Please see attached photos.

I thought at first it was a moisture issue, so I dried the PVA for 24 hours in my drier, and then put a brand new role in. The PVA is stored in the material station.

pva sticks to glass.  Pva sticks to PVA.  You can print PLA over PVA.  But you can't really print PVA over PLA.  Which you seem to be trying to do.  So because of this, one "fix" is the "support horizontal expansion".  Play with that and it might connect the PVA down to the glass - only play with it in PREPARE mode to see if it indeed works for your model. No need to actually try printing unless you can see the PVA sitting on the glass (in addition to on the PLA - one continuous chunck of PVA). Try setting it to 3mm or 10mm or whatever it takes to get the PVA to connect to the glass.

If you can't get the PVA to connect to the glass somewhere, somehow then post your project file.  I'm sure I can think of something.  Do "file" "save project" and post that file here.  It will contain your model(s), your settings, how you positioned your model.
