Ender 2 pro

hi,
i have an Ender 2 pro and would like to use it with Cura. Unfortunately there is no 2 pro in the list that you get at the beginning. There is a normal 2 but as far as i understood they don't have the same dimensions.
Is there a way that i can add my 2 pro or some sort of list with all the necessary changes that i have to do?

The definition files set Cura up for a particular machine by making changes to the normal default settings.  All the settings are available, you will just need to make some changes.

    • You need to know the differences between the Ender 2 and the 2 Pro.  It doesn't look like there are many.
    • Go to the MarketPlace (the button is in the top right corner of the Cura workspace) and load the "Printer Settings Plugin".  It will give you access to some of the settings that are normally hidden by Cura.
    • Go ahead and install the regular Ender 2 in Cura.
    • Under "Settings" select "Printer" and then "Manage Printers".  That will bring up a new dialog box.
    • Select "Machine Settings".

This a screenshot from Creality Cura of the Ender 2 Pro settings.

Match the numbers you see here into the UltiMaker Cura Machine Settings.

You may end up wanting to tweak the StartUp and Ending Gcodes.  Don't worry about it for now, just print something simple to see how it goes.

It is important to learn to "level" the machine.  If the gap between the build plate and the nozzle is too tall then your first layer may not stick and if it is too small then the plastic won't want to come out of the nozzle.

As simple as it sounds it's one of the harder things to figure out.

You might want to look at "Calibrating the E-steps".  It's important that when the printer is asked to push 25mm of filament that exactly 25mm gets pushed, and not 30 (over-extrude) or 20 (under-extrude).
