I have a part which need  needs support to print a 'tunnel'.
I am also adding square nuts in a Pause (Gcode Pause at height).
The problem is that the support is also created in the 'chamber' for the square nuts.

Is there a way to locally disable the creation of support material in Cura?

I don't know if it applies to your situation but Support > Support Placement has the options Touching Buildplate or Everything. If it's set to Touching Buildplate then support will never be generated starting inside your model, just anywhere that can be reached by going straight up from build plate.

If you need to be more precise, Cura has exactly the tool you're looking for. It's called a support blocker! Select your model, click image.png.134d1d951c93e980356c56b15e52fb6c.png in the toolbar on the left then click roughly where on your model you want it to be:

Click on the blocker (the transparent cube) to select it and then use the move and scale tools image.png.54d02bbc6701213524de6a7d3a0982fa.png to get it in the right spot. In the scale tool you'll probably have to turn off Uniform Scaling. It doesn't matter if it overlaps the model:

Now slice it and marvel at not having support under one bit:

Thanks for the hint, it is working well !

In my case it is a chamber for the nut with a hole to the outside, support is used in the hole.

It seems to be a bit tricky to set the position and the scaling of the eraser precisely in the prepare window since it is inside the part and hence not visible.

In the X-ray view of the preview it was easier to do.

A better visibility of the eraser block could be helpful .

And a easier setting of the scaling when using the squares.
