I tried different retraction settings: 6.5mm, 2mm, and 4.5mm, with various retraction speeds from 20mm/s to 45mm/s. I also experimented with different temperatures, ranging from 180°C to 200°C, and different print speeds from 40mm/s to 80mm/s. None of these adjustments made any difference. I bought the Ultimaker 3, which was very expensive and came highly recommended based on many reviews I read before purchasing it. I'm just in despair because I can't print small objects successfully.

The photo clearly shows that one side has proper retraction, while the other side doesn’t have as much.

Hiya! Your friendly assistant moderator Slashee here.

I'm moving this to the "UltiMaker 3D Printers" board because it's probably not a problem with Cura, although if you want to be extra sure of that, if you can post the Cura project (.3mf, get it set up then go to File > Save Project) that would be great.

Your test objects, without knowing what they should look like, look like the filament (you don't say what kind you're using, so ignore this if it's PLA) is wet. That's definitely not the problem on the castle though.

As well as seeing what the fine folks on the forum have to say about it (those who know UltiMaker printers, sadly not me 😞) you could also contact UltiMaker support and see if they can help.
