Hi guys! I m having an issue here, I hope you can help me: I have this Box with 100% infill, which is to be printed in PLA, and Inside that box I put 3 objects (2 spheres and a smaller box) which are to be printed with ABS, also with 100% infill. So what I want is a closed box made out of 100% infill PLA, except where my spheres and smaller box is, which are supposed to be 100% ABS. However I cannot change the infill seperately for the inserted objects. My printer will always alternate the infill layer of the inserted objects and do 1 layer with ABS and 1 layer with PLA. Could you help me please? I attached my Print file!

Thanks alot guys!

I have no idea why you need to do this.  If you explicitly call out the "Infill Extruder" then it will be the Infill Extruder for everything on the build plate.

The main problem is that there are no voids in the large model for the little ones to fit into.  The meshes overlap.  You need to subtract the inside models from the big model (in CAD) and then you can have the 3 models on the inside be a different material.  There can't be any overlap.

Cura will not print "All the PLA" and then "All the ABS".  It prints by layer so it will print layer 1 PLA, then layer 1 ABS then layer 2 ABS then layer 2 PLA, etc. changing mid-layer as required.

Ah I see, thank you for your help. This is for an X-Ray experiment I am conducting!. Makes sense now that you explained the mesh - overlap issue. Thanks again!
