Thx Slashee for moving my topic 😄 good to know
Common issue on our side with TPU.
For us it's always one of 2 issues:
1 (99%): just a false positive on the flow sensor. Unfortunately the only fix for this is to disable the flow sensor, which is something that we always do at this point with TPU. Nothing is actually wrong with your material/feeder, and it'll just proceed normally throughout the entire print with the flow sensor off.
2 (1%): the feeder was hungry and started to eat away at the filament. It doesn't sound like this is your issue.
My recommendation is to just turn the flow sensor off when you're printing TPU, and if you start getting issue #2 to limit the maximum amount of retractions significantly.
Edit: while I don't know the actual cause, I suspect that it's just the material stretching/flexing in such a way during its pass through the feeder that the flow sensor doesn't detect any material movement for a while. TPU is relatively flexible, after all.

This morning the TPU print was paused again with the error. First pressed play again, unfortnaly it paused again. Now I have switched the flow sensor off. Keep you posted if it works
@PizzaTijd I switched off the flow sensor. From the layer I got the material issue I have now underextrussion. I checked the feeder and it was not hungy. Well this is now with a Ninjaflex TPU filament. Now I go try to increase the temperature of look voor bowden tubes will less friction.
So when I use Ultimaker TPU and got the material error again I will also test the flow sensor disable method
Edited by FloTob@PizzaTijd I printed a few air hoses. Putting the sensor off is working. Also I found out that the room temperature where the printer is was a night time too low.

Glad to hear it's working alright now!

Your friendly assistant moderator Slashee here 🐄🙂
I don't know UM printers so I can't help you there but I'll move this to the "UltiMaker 3D printers" board where people who know more than me about UltiMaker printers hang out, you're probably more likely to get an answer there.
If nobody hanging out there can fix it then you should contact UltiMaker support directly since official support isn't offered through the forums.
