Ultimaker2 LCD screen not working

Recommended Posts

I just received my Ultimaker 2,

Very excited, I just unboxed plugged everything in and .........

-No display on LCD screen

-rotating click wheel or pressing click wheel does not make noise or cause any movement of the head.

-I thoght perhaps the connector for the LCD screen may not be plugged in good, however I cannot access the screw heads as the build plate is at the bottom with the glass panel underneath wrapped in bubble wrap.

HELP>>>>>>

Please.

Just turn the z-screw by hand, or grab the print bed at the sides, towards the back, and pull it upwards (with the power off). Then you can take the glass plate out, and undo the screws to remove the covers, and check the two ribbon cables that run from the main board to the smaller electronics board behind the display. Each cover is held on by two nuts and screws.

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
